Self-care for depression is any technique that creates positive feelings and replenishes our mind and body. Some self-care ideas for when you're really depressed are:
- Talk with someone who understands and supports you.
- Get out of the house and into nature.
- Watch a comedy or do something that makes you laugh.
- Smile, even if you don't feel like it.
- Exercise or engage in mild to moderate activity daily.

Symptoms:
- Sad, anxious or empty
- Hopelessness, pessimism
- Irritable, frustration, restlessness
- Feelings of guilt, worthlessness
- Loss of interest in activities
